Firmhours

Compare

You do not need QuickBooks Time.

Keep QuickBooks for the books. Keep Gusto / ADP / Paychex / OnPay for the check. Firmhours is time and attendance that closes into a payroll file. QuickBooks Time adds roughly $20 plus $10 per user per month on top of payroll after the July 2026 increase. On a 10-person crew that is about $100+ every month for a clock you can replace with a file.

The locked stack

QuickBooks Online keeps the books. Their payroll writes the check. Firmhours is the hours file. That is the stack. You do not add another time clock on top of it.

$4.00 against a time tax

Firmhours is $4.00 per active employee / month. No base fee. QuickBooks Time bills a base fee plus a per-user charge on top of payroll. The file is the cheaper clock.
